On one cold night in late October, I experienced something that I thought I would never encounter. The people who took an oath to protect and serve did absolutely nothing. Worse yet, they didn't even care. One of my close friends had just returned from his four year enlistment in the army. A few of us decided to go out for Halloween. We were all sitting in a club, when a guy walks through the door. He had dark skin and was wearing a turbine. He appeared to be of middle eastern descent.

This is a picture that was taken of a painting which once hung in Saddam Hussein's palace. This picture was taken by a member of the military, and he told us that Saddam had ordered the artist to paint this picture and he posed for it. So much for Saddam and Iraq not supporting terrorism.

Let's say I broke into your house...

I found this floating around the internet a while ago:

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.

Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely.

The spread of democracy in the world is not a good thing. It can be compared to a cancer. It does not show its evil self until it is terminal in many cases. Life appears to be good and prosperous until one day the monster shows itself. It is a subtle killer. Democracy is not consistant with justice. It is better defined as majority rule at best, and mob rule in its ugly state. The unfortunate minority has no right to justice. Inalienable rights is a mute concept in a democracy.

As gas prices go up, so does the threat to our nation. Truckers all over the country have announced the outrageous climb in gas prices, primarly diesel,  are the primary cause of their announcement to go on strike on the 3rd of April 2008.

1,100 attorneys throughout Ohio have volunteered to offer their services for free to Ohio residents to help them stay out of forclosure.  I don't know how they did it, but brilliant.  A State government actually taking a proactive approach instead of picking up the pieces.  Not only that, but kudos to all those attorneys throughout Ohio.  Ohio has implemented all sorts of things to help save money and reinvigerate the economy.

Sen. Richard Bennett, R-Utah, from the senate banking commitee said this, ""20 years ago the Fed would have let Bear Stearns go bust; today, it is too interlinked to fail." Too interlinked to fail?  How did this happen?

I will tell you.  The housing bubble started a long time ago.  It started to form during the Clinton administration. The fed interest rates were at a very low rate of 1%.

Akron police is now going to be under control of Sheriff Drew Alexander from the Summit County Sheriff's Department.  I have never heard of anything like this before.  The police and sheriff should be seperate.  Akron should be in control of their own department.  We voted the sheriff into office to be in control of Summit County, not Akron.  Additionally, the Sheriff's budget is considerably larger than Akron's budget, who's going to flip the bill?  The tax payers.

The associated press reports:

"The review of card spending at more than a dozen departments from 2005 to 2006 found that nearly 41 percent of roughly $14 billion in credit-card purchases, whether legitimate or questionable, did not follow procedure - either because they were not properly authorized or they had not been signed for by an independent third party as called for in federal rules to deter fraud.

Shameful behavior reported in press between Hillary supporters and Obama supporters makes me disgustedwith the whole political process. People yelling at each other to "shut up" is ludicrous. It was bad enough to see the chaos in the Texas caucus here. Their was a proposal  to throw out the whole caucus system to prevent it in the future which did not pass. I was against it because I want the oppurtunity for us to participate.

The Village of Richfield's planning and zoning commision is horible.  First, they denied this indian temple to be built a clearly residential area.  Then, they turn around and approve it, in a completely different, but still obvious, residental area.  Is that logical at all?  Now, their are numerous Richfield residents who are paying a lot of money for water and sewer, already.

Oh, we veterans are the pride of our country. We stand tall, face our flag as the anthem sounds, place our hands over our hearts, feel that feeling. You know, you know the feeling, your eyes wet-up, and sometimes a little tear happens. We know, we know we all did our part. We served our country when our country needed us. We did good.  The music stops. Well now, we can all enjoy the occasion of the day.

All the Democrats talk about is how they want to change America in favor of the underprivileged and poor. But they are all wealthy including Obama who claimed to have earned over $4 million last year. There is nothing wrong with having wealth if you have earned it. The Democrats need to stop making people think they will get something for nothing. Almost anybody can do some type of job, even handicap people work desk jobs.

Posted by Hilton T. Young at 9/23/2008 1:32 AM and is filed under Politics As a lower class citizen, I emailed Barack Obama asking what kind of help would I be given directly through his economic plan.  I explained that I only make around $16-19,000 a year and am puzzled that a man who gets so much support from lower class blacks, always touts plans to give a tax cut to middle class Americans.
