| EMS Equipment for police, fire, and sheriff departments |
So I plan on makin this short straight and to the point... Could some one please please please tell me why it can be and IS so hard for local public safety elements such as fire departments, police departments, sheriffs departments, what ever the case may be, to get funding and extra money on VITAL equipment they need to do their job and stay safe. And the thing that makes it so much worse is that the people who are in control of the money have absolutely no background in any form of public safety no matter what it may be. From the short time that I have been involved in this the only thing that I have noticed is that the only thing these govornment officials know about public safety and how to do the job safely and more effieciently is by telling us NO we cant have the money for this and that. And it takes our upper echelons of command and management to basiclly crawl and bed on there hands and knees to get something done and to get funding. OK so it was not short but it was right to the point. I am tired of how we get treated. Let me know how all of u feel by showing me in a vote. One last thing I wanna say is this is how it is for us in a smaller town and county, I dont know how it is in larger areas and cities but still let me know how you feel about it all. |

Most of the time public safety funding comes from state governement rather than federal government sor the services you mention. It would be a good thing when voting time rolls around to add ballot info for extra funding for the 911 services in your area. Many communities do this- you can also try fundraising campaigns as a unti as well. Just a thought.
